KAYAKING & SNORELING

As with all of Anse Chastanet’s exclusive Soufriere excursions, the tour begins with taxi pickup for transport to the Soufriere jetty to meet our boat for a scenic cruise to the Anse Chastanet Resort.
Kayaking is one of our most popular adventures as it is a great way to see the magnificent coastal scenery in the Soufriere area. Quality single sit-on-top kayaks are featured.
The kayaking is done from the resort’s adventure center beach, Anse Mamin. Upon arrival you will be given a brief orientation of the facilities and provided a beach chair to enjoy for the day. Before going out on the sea one of our staff will present basic sea kayaking techniques including basic paddle strokes, how to safely exit and re-enter your kayak in open water and techniques for entry/exit from shore.
You will then head out on your own paddling over colorful coral reefs along the weathered volcanic cliffs that give St. Lucia its renowned rugged beauty. It’s an incredible place for photographs, especially with a waterproof camera! Kayak as little or as much as you wish but we do require that you remain within Anse Chastanet Bay in view from one of the resort’s two beaches at all times. This, of course, is to insure your safety.
When you are finished kayaking you can enjoy other activities our adventure center has to offer including snorkeling and the nature/historical trails within the adjacent jungle. The tour also features lunch at the resort’s Jungle Beach Bar & Grille, located on the Anse Mamin beach.
Important stuff: we recommend you consider bringing sunscreen, a shirt, hat and sunglasses.
